Wilmette Block Party Announced for September 9, 2023

DATE FOR THE WILMETTE BLOCK PARTY SET FOR SEPTEMBER 9

Wilmette, Illinois – The Wilmette Park District, Village of Wilmette and the Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce are bringing THE Wilmette Block Party to Wilmette again in 2023! 

The event is scheduled to run from Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 in the Wilmette Village Center. The community will once again enjoy exciting music, food, drinks and kids’ activities, with a few new extras.

“After the enormous success of last year’s Block Party, the foremost question heard from residents was ‘Can we do it again next year?’ We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the community together once more to celebrate in our wonderful downtown,” announced Village President Senta Plunkett.

“We are so excited to partner together and bring back this fantastic, family-friendly community event! Everyone should put it on their calendars now, and tell a friend,” shared Park District Superintendent of Operations, Lindsay Thomas.

The event will span the area around Village Center on Wilmette and Central Avenues as well as on the Village Green. “It’s exciting to see so many people come to this fun event and check out our vibrant Village Center, including our many shops and restaurants while enjoying the festivities,” commented Jennifer Herren Gatesman, Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
